Fun House - 1/1
Apparently this game is based on a late-eighties gameshow of the same name. Because of that, I am assuming more gameplay modes exist in this game beyond the top-down perspective objective gathering mode. Even though the controls were slightly annoying to get used to, once I got the hang of it, this game mode felt totally acceptable. If at least 3 other modes exist with similar enjoyment factor I think this is a pretty killer game!

LJN games get a bad rap, and this is one of them. But is it really that terrible? I will go out on a limb and say not really. The game controls fine, the graphics are fine. The problem is I didn’t find it very fun. To be fair, I have seen people play this online and the game actually has some depth, and the climactic confrontations with Jason are pretty awesome. Problem is, who is going to invest that much time into a game that doesn’t grab you right away in todays world? I have to give it a 0.

Freedom Force - 1/1
Freedom Force is the first light gun game I have reviews since the wonderful developers over at OpenEmu got mouse support in here. The gameplay is pretty typical, you shoot bad guys that pop up in windows and doors. But you must try not to shoot the hostages. Even though it couldn’t be more simple, I still had a good time.

Frankenstein - 1/1
I was pleasantly surprised by Frankenstein. The biggest stand out are the controls. It’s very responsive and crisp, reminds me of Ninja Giaden. I don’t really remember the story, but it looks like you are NOT the monster but just a man, and you are trying to stop the monster. Killing enemies rewards you with better weapons and life pickups which actually makes killing enemies a pleasure. From the short time I played it I saw a nice variety of enemies and all of them look a little strategy to defeat. Excellent game.

The Flintstones Surprise at Dinosaur Peak - 1/1
Few people have played this game outside of the emulation world. It has always been very rare, as it allegedly only available as a rental from Blockbuster (not sure who thought that was a better idea than just releasing it). Now it fetches prices as high as $1000 on the after market.
The game itself? Pretty great! Once we figured out that you can toggle between Fred and Barney an entire world opened up. The game plays a bit like the Lost Vikings if you have ever played that. both Fred and Barney have unique abilities you must use to complete the levels, I am assuming later in the game multiple paths might be available adding some replay value.

Flight of the Intruder - 0/1
Another garbage flight simulator… The world really wasn’t ready for these in the 8-bit era. I found the game incredibly dull, but maybe a die hard air combat fan might … still find it incredibly dull.

Fist of the North Star - 1/1
How can you go wrong with the concept of a traveling martial arts master who can make people’s heads explode in a post-apocolytic setting? Well often times bad video game publishers do find a way, but not in this case! Fist of the North Stare delivers! This game is a no-frill beat ’em up and there is nothing wrong with that. The music is upbeat, the animation is smooth and Nintendo wasn’t stingy with the exploding bodies.
