After logging about 30 hours into Assassin’s Creed 3 my Xbox’s DVD drive stopped working. No problem, hardware breaks, I can deal with that. I went to Wallmart right away to get a new Xbox, I would like to get the slim anyway. Bring it home, Google up how to perform a data migrations…
Use the Xbox transfer cable? Why isn’t this included with an xbox? Well I am obviously not going back to Wallmart to get it so I used method two. Configure a USB device to an Xbox storage unit. I happen to have three USB devices right here. To be fair, I can also use the cloud storage LOLOLOLOLOL.
Long story short? I lost all of my data. After following all of the instructions. I called support and asked for some reimbursement and was offered 2 months free membership.
Two months free membership!? I have been paying for Xboxlive Gold since 2001. I forced them to look it up to make sure they understand how loyal I have been. For a LIFETIME, they give me 2 months free after destroying 500+ hours of my saved games? How about 20,000 MS points? How about 5 years free? It can ONLY HELP THEM to make me spend my entire life on Xbox. Now I am out here ranting to the world trying to convince people to buy PlayStations is that worth it?
