In my experience there is a common problem with the shredded-meat sandwiches. When you get them hot, the meat never seems to cook all the way through. I think it’s because they are always drenched in sauce, which is kept cold. The meat gets this uncomfortable luke-warm temperature with occasional large chunks of cold meat. I understand the meat is fully cooked before it is even heated so it isn’t a raw-meat complaint but just a general uncomfortable flavor, texture and temperature.
That was the case with this sandwich. Also the BBQ sauce is much too sweet and tangy.
