HIB3 it’s a winner!

Another Humble Indie Bundle. Sorry I am so late in reporting it, I figure anyone who cared would have already been all over it. What is worth reporting though is just how many games you get from this beast. They just kept adding more and more. Atom Zombie Smasher is the latest addition. I almost purchased this game on steam a while back but for some reason I didn’t. Good thing too as now it fell into my lap. The HIB makes me not want to ever buy an indie game since I can pretty much expect it to appear on the next one. Not sure if this is good or bad for the developers. I look forward to HIB4 no doubt. Even if you don’t care, you should just get it. I mean it’s $6, just go get it!

Here are my standouts from HIB3:

  • Braid: Most people have already had this game for years, but if you have not played this chrono-confusing platformer you should give it a chance. Just for the music and artwork alone.
  • Revenge of the Titans: An addictive tower defense game with great music. Unlike most tower defense games these baddies don’t follow a set path. Tons of upgrades and variety. Great time killer.
  • Hammerfight: Never heard of this game, but MAN is it fun. I have probably spend more than ten hours playing this strange action game. Just make sure to set your mouse DPI to 0 in options so you can control your ship. Not sure how they screwed up this setting so bad but they did. Also the controls are pretty terrible in regard to using your inventory and buying items. DESPITE these flaws, I love this game.
  • Atom Zombie Smasher: I am loving this game. Sort of a crazy mash up of Missile Command, an RTS game, and Risk. You kill zombies with guns and bombs while a helicopter evacuates non-infected humans.
