Let’s Play Gargoyles Quest II – NES AtoZ 67

First Impression

We kinda had an expectation going into this game of doing some awesome platforming as a demon. What a shock to see a screen that looks more like the town from Final Fantasy than a side scrolling platformer. It took us some time to fumble to the MEAT of the gameplay, the platforming. Once we got there and loved it. Firebrand can jump high, hover with his wings and spit fireballs. He can also stick to walls and jump off them. We didn’t expose much of this gameplay but you can already see how varied it can be with the wall climbing, and floating.

I had to read ahead a little and check out a speed run, but I can confirm that you power up as the game progresses. You earn higher jumping abilities, better flying abilities and a more powerful projectile.
