The Four in Hand is one of the most common, if not the most common, knots out there. It is quick to tie and holds well. The knot ends up being long and narrow, but asymmetrical, making it unfit for truly formal affairs. This is probably the best knot to wear loose with an untucked shirt and jeans, if that is the look you are going for. Just for fun I demonstrate how to tie this knot in a unique way, off the neck.
